At RUES, we are actively growing and developing the relationships of students, parents, and staff. Parental Involvement is the participation of parents in regular, two-way, and meaningful communication involving student academic learning and other school activities. Parental Involvement ensures that parents play an integral role in assisting their child's learning. Please see below for important information year round regarding out Parental Involvement initiatives.

We believe that our true mission is to provide our students with the knowledge and decision-making skills necessary to assume their roles as leaders in this world. As a school community we believe that each child possesses endless potential and that our most important job is to unlock that potential. We are proud of each of our students and celebrate their differences.
In order to do this we must continue to teach them about important character traits such as honesty, tolerance, integrity, and respect. In addition, we must challenge them to make a difference both in our school and the community in which they live. However, our staff cannot do this alone. We recognize and value that parents should be the most important adults in a child’s life. We applaud each of you for the care and love you show your children and appreciate that you have chosen Raceland Upper Elementary as your child’s school.
We invite you to come to our school often. We encourage you to make every attempt possible to volunteer or just visit our classrooms, attend Open House, parent involvement activities, and parent-teacher conferences throughout the school year. We are proud of our school, and we want you to be too. Look over and search our website, and email me with any questions or feedback. I am proud to be the Principal of this great school and to be working with such wonderful parents, students and staff. Have a great year!
